NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

WAUKESHA COUNTY TRANSIT

 

FARE INCREASE ROUTES 901, 904, 905, 906 

and County Paratransit Service

 

Reductions in Service Routes 901 and 905

Effective January 2, 2020

 

 

A public hearing has been scheduled by the Waukesha County Transit System for Friday, December 13th, 2019 at 8:30 am in the Waukesha County Administration Center Room 255, 515 W. Moreland Boulevard, Waukesha, Wisconsin to hear comments on the following proposed changes that would be effective January 2, 2020:


Fare increase (Proposed Fares listed are listed below) for Routes 901, 904, 905, 906 and Waukesha County Paratransit Service


Proposed Service Changes:

  • Route 901 Trips E8, E12 and W10 would be eliminated.
  • Route 905 Trip OW6 would be eliminated. 
  • Route 901 Trips W11 and E11 would operate 5 minutes later than currently.
  • Route 901 Trip W12 would operate 10 minutes later than currently.
  • Route 905 Trip OW3 would add a stop at Brookfield Square.

At the hearing, the Waukesha County Transit administrative staff will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the proposed changes to service and fares.  Comments may also be submitted in writing up to the date and time of the public hearing to Waukesha County Transit, Public Hearing Comments, 2311 Badger Drive, Waukesha, WI 53188 or via e-mail transit@waukesha-wi.gov.  A quorum of the Waukesha County Public Works Committee may be in attendance at this public hearing.

Eastern Fare Zone:  All of Route 901, Route 904 east of and including Goerkes Corners, Route 905 east of and including Meadowbrook Transit Station, Route 906 east of and including Big Bend Park-Ride.


Western Fare Zone:  Route 904 any on or off west of Goerkes Corners, Route 905 any on or off west of Meadowbrook Transit Station, Route 906 any on or off west of Big Bend Park-Ride.
