The Waukesha Public Art Committee is dedicated to enriching the cultural life of our community through its advocacy, encouragement and promotion of the visual arts within the City of Waukesha.
Story Map and Brochure
The art included in the Story Map and brochure (PDF) was created by many local artists to enhance the physical environment of Waukesha. This publication illustrates, from sculpture to painted glass, the unique spirit of our community.
The Waukesha Public Art Committee invites you to enjoy viewing these works of public art in person with the accessible walking tour map (PDF) found on the brochure.
Guitar Town Murals and Guitars
in 2012 Waukesha was selected as a Gibson Guitar Town to honor Les Paul. Throughout downtown Waukesha, you will find several murals, 10-foot high artistic sculptures, and Gibson Les Paul guitars painted by local artists. The best way to find them all is with this map that highlights the locations of all things Waukesha Guitar Town!
