Public Safety Cadets is a law enforcement organization for young men and women ages 14 to 21, who are interested in learning more about a career in law enforcement. We are sponsored by the City of Waukesha Police Department.
Meetings
Members learn about law enforcement by attending meetings during the month. Each meeting is about 2 hours in length. At these meetings we:
Discuss current topics in law enforcement
Have training in police topics presented by professionals in all levels of law enforcement, including the:
Patrol Operations
Criminal Investigations
Forensics
Training
Members receive training in:
Emergency first aid (including CPR)
Radio communications
Traffic control and more
Putting Training Into Practice
Members work with our police department to assist in community functions, and after reaching a certain level of training, post members can ride along in squad cars with police officers on patrol.
