Waukesha Public Library Addition and Renovation

Project Update: August 27 2021

The Carnegie Room's new floor has been poured.  The elevation of the floor was raised to remove the existing ramp that has existed in that room for years.

A large area in the middle of the first floor of the library has been emptied and new carpet is being installed. There were many layers of old carpet and glue that had to be removed before the new carpet could be installed.

The exterior restroom floor has been poured.

Absolute Construction has been awarded the project and has begun to move on site and begin lite demo to the interior.  The phasing of the project has been discussed between the City and the contractor to allow the Library to remain open during the project.

The Waukesha Public Library will be undergoing a much needed renovation of its first floor to better serve the public.  Meeting space will increase, a creative makerspace for the public and a demonstration kitchen will all be added to the interior renovation. The addition of restrooms to serve Cutler park is a much needed upgrade to the existing restrooms.  The new restrooms will be open year round to accommodate park patrons.
