Neighborhood Engagement Unit

The Neighborhood Engagement Unit is responsible for interacting directly with the public, with the goal of fostering trust, cooperation and communication between the community and the department. Officers assigned to the unit not only address quality of life issues but develop actionable intelligence and work with the community and our law enforcement partners to mitigate and reduce crime. Officers volunteer to serve in this unit, and are interviewed and selected based on their abilities and qualities that relate to the duties required of team members. The officers of the Neighborhood Engagement Unit want to be involved in this program, want to work directly with the community, and are excited about their involvement.
