Criminal Investigation Division

The Criminal Investigation Division is responsible for the prevention, detection, and investigation of crime utilizing intelligence. High-quality investigations are conducted by skilled detectives in a timely manner where investigations are handled with dedication and professionalism.

  • Computer Forensic Unit

Examines digital media in a forensically sound manner with the aim of identifying, preserving, recovering, analyzing and presenting facts about digital information.  They have a special focus on the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC). 

  • Criminal Evidence and Forensic Unit

Is a highly skilled and specialized unit that is responsible for the professional processing of crime scenes in which they document all facets of crime and the reconstruction of crime scenes.  The members of this unit are an integral part of the investigative team who utilize technology to establish the facts of the case in court.

  • Narcotics and Vice Unit

Their mission is to implement proactive and innovative tactics to target individuals who are supplying illegal drugs with the goal of reducing the number of illegal drugs in our community.  They also work hard to reduce the opportunity for Vice Crimes to occur, such as: prostitution, human trafficking, and other related crimes.

  • Sensitive Crimes Unit

Is responsible for investigating crimes against children and crimes of sensitive nature which includes child abuse and neglect, sexual assault, domestic violence, missing persons, and human trafficking.

  • Warrant Unit

Performs various tasks related to the apprehension of individuals who are either wanted for criminal investigations or have outstanding warrants.
