Lawndale, Fairmont, Caldwell Reconstruction Project

Project Update: June 11, 2021 (Final Update)

This week the contractor completed all of the sod on the project. Over the next couple of weeks the City will be completing a final review of the project. This will be my last update email for this project.

 

The reconstruction project will consist of the following work:

  • New watermain and services (Complete)
  • Sanitary sewer rehabilitation (Complete)
  • Storm sewer rehabilitation (Complete)
  • New concrete roadway and curb and gutter (Complete)
  • Upgraded ADA pedestrian crossings (Complete)
  • Sod restoration (Complete)

 

Work This Week:

  • Terrace cut downs and topsoiling
  • Sod restoration

Project Overview

As funded in the 2021 CIP budget, it is planned to reconstruction Lawndale Avenue (Fairview Avenue to 4th Street), Caldwell Street (Lawndale Avenue to Madison Street) and Fairmont Avenue (Lawndale Avenue to Madison Street). Construction is anticipated to begin early to mid-March and be completed in July of 2021.

The scope of work for this project includes:

  • New watermain and services
  • Sanitary sewer rehabilitation
  • Storm sewer rehabilitation 
  • New concrete roadway and curb and gutter
  • Upgraded ADA pedestrian crossings
  • Sod restoration
