Madison Street Reconstruction

Project Update: September 11, 2020

Madison Street reconstruction project update:

  • Progress was very slow this week due to the rain and short holiday week.
  • Next week, both water main and storm sewer installation will continue.
  • Roadway grading will continue also.
  • With the increase in rainfall, we are closely monitoring any impacts to drainage and making sure erosion control devices are properly in place.
  • Additional site cleanup is also taking place as needed to prevent mud tracking onto adjacent roadways.

Street Closure:

Just a reminder that the roadway is closed within the project limits and no thru traffic is allowed.  As with any work area, please use caution when traveling around the site and thank you for your patience.

Madison Street will be reconstructed from Prairie Song Drive to the western edge of the City Limits. Watermain and storm sewer be be constructed.  When the project is complete, the new street will look the same as Madison Street east of Prairie Song Drive.
