Hartwell Ave and Oxford Rd Improvements
Project Update: June 26, 2020
This week the City’s contractor was able to pave both Hartwell Avenue and Charles Street. They also were able to begin pouring the new sidewalk and aprons on Oxford Road. Some great news, the concrete cylinders on Hartwell Avenue and Charles Street both broke well over 3000 PSI so the contractor will be out this afternoon sliding open the barricades so local residents can park on both Hartwell Avenue and Charles Street tonight! The barricades will remain in place until all of the sidewalk and restoration is complete.
Next week the contractor is planning on finishing all of the sidewalk and drive aprons throughout the project and begin grading the terrace in preparation for the landscaping.
Current traffic restrictions:
Hartwell Avenue/Newhall Road – Currently cannot continue South on Hartwell Avenue, the contractor needs to complete an asphalt patch before reopening this intersection
Hartwell – Open to local residents, contractor is asking to limit parking on the street while they are working.
Oxford – Open to local residents, contractor is asking to limit parking on the street while they are working.
Charles – Open to local residents, contractor is asking to limit parking on the street while they are working.
