Beginning on Monday, the Prairie Avenue Bridge Rehabilitation project will be beginning on Monday 4/19. During this project the bridge will be closed and there will be no traffic allowed across the bridge until the project is completed.
Further updates regarding this project will be included in the 2021 Prairie/Sentry/Sunset Reconstruction project update.
The City of Waukesha will be rehabilitating the Prairie Avenue bridge (B-64-0177) over the Fox River. The purpose of the project is to extend the usable life of the bridge, by addressing all structural deficiencies such as delamination, and cracking which would deteriorate the bridge at a faster pace. The final step in the project will be completed with a deck overlay and new pavement markings.
The rehabilitation project is expected to begin in spring of 2021.
