The playgrounds at Grandview and Meadowview parks are being replaced this fall. These large playground projects feature many exciting play components and have been vetted through Public Information Meetings and related input. The colors and play elements in the final designs reflect the public input.
Burke playgrounds have been selected. Burke play systems feature compounded plastics with UV-16 to protect from wear that the sun can cause. Burke’s exclusive KoreKonnect direct-bolt clamp system is stronger than other methods in the industry, and faster and easier to install, benefiting “Community Build” projects that utilize volunteers (like ours).
KoreKonnect is covered for 100 years under Burke’s non-prorated Generations Warranty. Their EZKonnect system features a self-leveling platform design that allows for faster and more precise location of the decks during installation.
This would be the first Burke playground in the City of Waukesha, which helps support local businesses, as their factory is located right here in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. As to date, the time-line for the "Community-Builds" are scheduled for September 10 and 11 (Thu-Fri) for Grandview, and September 12 and 13 (Sat-Sun) for Meadowview. September 14, 15 and 16 are scheduled as rain dates if needed. If you would like to join in and volunteer, please click on the following links:
