This week the contractor completed all of the concrete curb and sidewalk on the project and began to grade S Prairie Avenue.
Next week, the contractor will fine grade S Prairie Avenue, and mill Mulberry Lane in preparation for paving early the following week.
During this time, S Prairie Avenue will remain closed (Local Traffic Only).
The City of Waukesha will be resurfacing and replacing/rehabilitating utilities along S Prairie Avenue (from the City/town line to Mulberry Lane) and resurfacing Mulberry Lane (from S Prairie Avenue to Center Road). This project will include replacing the sanitary sewer main on S Prairie Avenue from the City/town line to Mulberry Lane. The sanitary sewer laterals will also be inspected and replaced if they do not meet City standards from the sanitary main in the center of the road to outside the pavement limits – typically the sidewalk.
This project will also include complete road resurfacing of S. Prairie Avenue from the City/town line to Mulberry Lane, and Mulberry Lane from S. Prairie Avenue to Center Road. The contractor will remove approximately 2 inches of the existing asphalt and repaved with approximately 2 inches. Any handicap ramps within the project that do not meet current ADA standards will be upgraded.
Streets that are closed:
During construction both S. Prairie Avenue and Mulberry Ln will be closed (Local Traffic Only).
Any questions regarding this project please contact me at your earliest convenience.
