The Waukesha Landmarks Commission offers Paint and Repair Grants to assist owners of Landmark properties, National Register of Historic Places sites, or within our nine (9) Historic Districts. These grants are made possible through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. This is a matching grant that can cover up to 50% of the cost of your project.
The Landmarks Commission reviews all applications for Paint and Repair Grants and bases the award amount on the total cost of the project, project impact, and grant fund balance at the time of application. Grants are awarded on a first come, first served basis. While there is no set grant amount, the Commission has established the following guidelines they use when making their decision.
